We here at ArtzyPartzy think that everyone should be a little artzy-fartzy sometimes! Our teachers know their stuff, and are really excited to bring our knowledge and enthusiasm for crafting straight to you. Since COVID, we know that many people prefer not to be out in a crowded room when they’re learning a new craft. We also know that, great as You-Tube or online classes may be, sometimes it’s best to have an experienced, live, human teacher to guide you through your learning. So, we’re bringing the craft classes to you!
Don’t worry. We’ll make everything easy for you. Not only will we bring the materials and expertise straight to your home, but we’re happy to work with you to help make it a party your friends will talk about for years! Most ArtzyPartzies just need a table for working on, and a sink for cleaning up. If you need us to bring tablecloth, snacks, or balloons to dress it up, those are available options. If you want liquor, you need to provide that, as we don’t have a liquor license. (A few classes may not be alcohol-friendly, if they use blades, flames, or any dangerous tools, but those will be clearly marked on our available classes.)
Are these in-home craft parties good for children? We’ll always have one or two project options available for kids’ parties, but there are some limits. We love kids, and have experience teaching, but crafting with children can be pretty intense! They ask a lot of questions, and need more individual attention than most adult students. The number of crafters may be more restricted for kids’ classes for this reason.
Can we have kids at a mostly adult party? We know that some kids are amazing learners, and welcome those in most of our classes. There are some limitations, though. Children 13 and under must have a responsible adult taking the class with them. Projects with blades, flames, or other potentially dangerous tools may be inappropriate. We may have a smaller class size limit with a surcharge for younger students as well, simply because younger students tend to monopolize more of the teacher’s attention. As for your kids just hanging around– it’s your home! We’re aiming to have fun, and if you’re comfortable with life’s little interruptions, we’re okay with it, too.
At this point, in-home classes are only available in Pueblo, Colorado and the surrounding area. If you’re in Colorado, but not close to Pueblo, shoot us an email. With a reasonable surcharge for distance travelled, we may still be able to bring an ArtzyPartzy to you!
Happy Crafting!
